Phase-separation installation

Phase Separation Product Line

TrayTec supplies and installs across four functional categories of phase separation equipment. Each product is available as supply-only, install-only, or supply-and-install under a single contract.

Some of the products we carry

Mist Elimination

Mesh mist eliminators, vane mist eliminators, and demisting cyclones cover the full range of droplet separation requirements from standard low-velocity separator service through high-velocity, high-liquid-load applications. Mesh pads are selected for moderate velocity service with manageable liquid loads. Vane packs are specified where gas velocities exceed mesh pad operating limits or where liquid loads are high enough to cause re-entrainment. Demisting cyclones are used where separation efficiency requirements are highest and vessel footprint is constrained.

Inlet Separation Devices

Inlet cyclones and inlet diffusers control momentum and vapor-liquid distribution at the vessel inlet nozzle. Proper inlet device selection is the single most impactful design decision for overall separator performance. Undersized or mismatched inlet devices cause liquid re-entrainment that no downstream internal can fully correct.

Coalescers

Stokes coalescers, plate pack coalescers, and interceptor coalescers are specified for liquid-liquid separation where droplet sizes are below the threshold for gravity settling. Applications include oil-water separation in three-phase production separators, produced water treatment, and hydrocarbon recovery systems. Coalescer type and packing density are selected based on droplet size distribution, interfacial tension, and required effluent quality.

Flow Distribution, Support, and Solids Management

Perforated distribution baffles, cap distribution baffles, motion baffles, support grids, hydrocyclones, screen cylinders, inlet/outlet baskets, flat curved screens, and sandjet systems cover structural support, flow redistribution, solids removal, and vessel cleaning requirements. Motion baffles are specified for floating offshore applications where liquid sloshing degrades separation performance. Sandjet systems are installed in production separators receiving sand-laden fluids where solids accumulation between scheduled shutdowns is a known operational constraint.
